What is the difference between a model 22A and a model 22A-1?

I just got one is there anything that can be done to it.. other grips? etc.. anyone know where i can get more clips.. dont see any one here.

My guess is the newer the 22A-1 has the magazine safety (gun can't fire with magazine out).

Edit:
I stand corrected.
Note that both of my own personal 22As lack the magazine safety!

Smith autos have had the magazine disconnect feature for many years. The 22A-1 was an improvement to the barrel assembly to prevent breakage when field stripped.
