What is graphite on shot, how to get & use?
I've been recovering Lbs. of shot from a farmers field adjacent to a shooting club, can sort it into rather decent stuff, but I've read reclaimed shot should be 'regraphited'....what means this and how do I do it. Graphite to me is just the stuff in pencils!!

Powdered graphite is available in small containers as a lube for locks. Try an auto parts store, hardware store, etc. 0 -
You might also want to look at your local Ag dealer. Graphite is used to lube corn seed in planters. 0 -
You can get the graphite at machinery dealer in larger quantities than at auto parts stores. the cost will be the same but you will get about 10 times more material. I bought mine at John Deere. Put your shot in a brass tumble & put in a little graphite & let it run for about 20 - 30 min. 0
