Re-bedding M14
I am in the beginning stages of re bedding my M14 and would like opinions on the best method to remove the old material. (Dremal)? Also I have been seeing post go up on other shooting forums about the use of "Devcon Steel Putty" as a substitute to the gel bedding products out there. Has anyone had experience with working with Devcon and if so what are your opinions of its' user friendliness?

Dremel
Devcon or JB Weld for mine.

We just used Devcon to bed a M1A. It is a little thin when mixed but works in OK.
When set up it is harder than wood-pecker lips. Should hold up very good.
I'm going to redo my M1A NM with it.0 -
After watching the long range hunting videos my friend a I used Hilti 500 epoxy on his rem 243... Used a dremal to remove a little wood.. Put on thin layer of vasaline, put som hilti 500 on it. It worked great 0
