S&W DA45
I have aquirred an S&W revolver.On the left side of barrel it's marked S&W D.A.45.On top is patent dates 1901 1906 1909.Its 45 caliber ,six shot swing out cylinder.A 45 ACP fits the cylinder.It appears to need moon clips.what can you tell me about this peice.Does it use moon clips,full or half ? would it be safe to shoot with lite loads,say in 700- 750 fps range.it is mechanicly sound and tight

Yes, you will need moon, or half moon clips to shoot it with 45ACP, or you can also shoot it without the moon clips, using 45 Auto Rim. Can't tell you much more about it, without some clear, well lit pictures.
