value of a rust bucket model 94,38-55?
I inherited 2 of these rifles, and I'm thinking my brother bought this one for parts, beause it's nothing but RUST on the outside.Very bad looking shape,my brother wold never let a personal gun get like this is why I;m sure it was bought for parts.
Bert would cry if he saw this,it's in really sad shape.
however, the internals look good,as does the bore.
As a parts gun ,what is the value of a near-100 year old plain jane model 94/38-55?
the figure 400.00 jumps into my head for some reason,is that about right? I'd want to sell the whole gun,not part it out.
No,it's not for sale right now,I'll put it on the auction side with a note here when it is for sale.
thanks a lot

According to the latest edition of the Blue Book of Altered, Mutilated, & Refinished Firearms, your rifle would sell in the $50-100 range.

The external rust can be removed, and with a good bore and internals, it can be resurrected as a "shooter". My guess is that once cleaned up, it should be worth close to $500 if it is not badly pitted. 0
