I live in Oklahoma and was wondering what it takes to own/shoot a fully auto gun? Class 3? Thanks

    Nwcid has a very nice sticky topic near the top of the page. It explains all you need to know. He has done an excellent job with this.

    You don't need a class III. All you need to do is find the weapon you want, and a class III dealer to transfer it to you. So you don't get sticker shock, you might want to look at the class III, NFA weapons over on the auction side. They are not enexpensive. They are not like going to a big box store, and buying a Remington 870 Express that is on sale for $329.95. Most NFA weapons have appreciated in value over the last decade, by 400% or more. When you buy one, you will have the price of the weapon, and either a $200.00 or $500.00 transfer tax.

    Most important is that without a class3 license, you will need a signature from your local police chief or Sheriff. Depending on where you live, it may not be easy.

    Or a Trust or LLC. Read the NFA sticky, all the info is in there.



    TSR it is a $200 tax for ALL except the transfer of an AOW which is $5.
