installing an AR barrel to receiver ????

    Yes there are torque values to use. Check out some of the webvideos for details. A fixture for holding the uppper w/o damaging it is needed as is a barrel nut wrench.

    It is generally considered 35lbs minimum. Torque to 35lbs then index to your gas tube.

    Per Army TM, it is 30 ft/lbs, then torque up to align.

    Having the right tools make it MUCH easier.

    You need a torque and barrel wrench and torque to 30-35 lbs and align the gas tube. That will change the final torque setting as they rarely line up.
