Marvel 22 LR Conversion Recoil Spring
I was curious where I could buy a recoil spring for a Marvel 22 LR conversion unit? The spring in 9 pounds.
I know Marvel sells them and there is nothing wrong with their products whatsoever. I am just interested if there is another source in the event Marvel isn't always around. I am wondering if this is the same recoil spring used on Colt Ace because I believe the magazines sold by Marvel are Colt Ace magazines.
Any information would be welcome.
Thanks.

Check with Brownells tech dept . The Marvals are great units but you may either have to try different weight springs or different ammo to get it to run 100% Most target grade ammo is Standard velocity and will shoot smaller groups but the spring that comes in the unit may be Too strong to function and then you will need High Velocity ammo. Find you a gun Club that has a BULLS-EYE Program and get someone to coach /mentor you. IMHO if you learn the skills to shoot Bulls-Eye those same skills will serve you well on ANY shooting. Check out Top Shot Red team Brian Zins . he is mild mannered 10 time national Bulls-Eye Champion. Feel free to email me with any questions 0 -
Thank you Perry Shooter for the information. I will check with Brownell's Tech Dept.
The Marvel's are finicky when it comes to ammunition that it will cycle. I have found CCI Mini Mags and Remington Golden Bullet in the bulk pack (believe it or not) cycle best in the pistol. Every other type ammunition, and I have tried many, will not reliably cycle and will jam.
The Marvel is extremely accurate. I might try a lighter spring as you suggest.
