Savage model 24
How does a person date the Savage model 24 22 over 410? Does anyone know what years they were manufactured? I have a couple with wood stocks and the barrel selector on the side. Any help will be appreciated.

When did Savage stop making their P series model 24's? 0 -
Lots of different ones. More info required to even know which one you are referring to. Like caliber, barrels separate or one piece, synthetic or wood, suffix letter, etc. 0 -
There are many versions of the Savage model 24. First ones were made around 1950. Several rifle calibers with 410, 20 and 12 gauge shotgun barrels. Values vary by condition and caliber/gauge combinations. If in good condition they seem to be going in the $350 to $600 range. You can check the auction side for recent prices. If you provide pictures the experts can give you reasonably accurate values. 0 -
coolbree65...as mentioned, depends on lots of variables but always condition is the key. One of the rarest of the models is the 24V in 20g/.357 as almost all the O/U are in rifle calibers. In my area, if you can find one, that model is going in the $600-800 range. Hope this helps[^] 0
