Replacing WASR AK Pistol grip with Romanian issue?

Would replacing the black Pistol grip on my WASR AK underfolder with a Reddish synthetic Romanian made one make it illegal?

  Get yourself a copy of HR 922. You might be able to find it on here, as there are several topics related to it. It will outline for you what is legal, and what is not. I do believe that the pistol grip counts as one of the US made parts.

  To do so you would need to add another US made part to the rifle.
  If you are trying to keep the stocks and pistol grip Romanian you would need to go to US made magazine parts. [xx(]
  
  I took a different route with my Wasr. I found some redish brown spray paint and sprayed painted the black pistol grip.
  
  Came out pretty good and held up well.
  
  I believe I saw US made pistol grips in that color not too long ago. Forget who was selling it though.

  Hr922 is the most retarded law I've ever heard of. It's purpose is only to put people in prison. I might try the spray paint.
  
  On the other hand if you re manufacture an item is it then considered US made?
