Iver Johnson Sealed 8 question
Would anyone happen to know the year of manufacture and approximate value of a Iver Johnson Sealed 8, 6" octagon barrel, nickel plated, very nice condition, first three numbers in the serial number are M95.
A fella near me has this revolver and I like it but I'm not familiar enough with the model to negotiate with him. I'd appreciate any help that you guys could offer.

According to the late Bill Goforth, the M prefix indicates a first model made 1932-1941, so M95 was probably made 1932. He listed value as $125 for 60% condition to $250 for 100%. 0 -
Agree with that assessment. Sorry to hear of Mr Goforth he was the IJ answer man. 0 -
These are not highest quality revolvers.
It's not an issue unless you want to do a lot of shooting, especially with high speed loads.
If you have to have it, try to negotiate him down toward the lower number.0 -
Agreed, if a revolver made in 1934 in perfect condition is only worth
$250. tops, then it certainly has no collector value either. Thanks guys.0
