Remington Wingmaster?

this weekend i picked up a used remington 870 at a local shop. this gun is blued and has glossy stocks but has no wingmaster markings? its a 12 gauge with a 3in chamber and has no checkering on the rear stock and the forestock is different than most 870s. any info on this gun? sorry no pics.

  Wingmasters, were marked as such, I think. Maybe you have a sportsman? Does it have Remington on it? No telling what stocks you might have on it. Sounds like you got a used 870 .
  
  Also, the Wingmasters were 2 3/4 chamber.

  The Wingmaster 12 gauge in 3" magnum became standard in 1985.

  i believe the side of the receiver say " Remington model 870 magnum" the stock set looks like this ... http://www.collectibles-articles.com/antique/collectible-image-large/remington-870-walnut-police-stock-set-tactical-shotgun_320635522673.jpg. possibly just an older wingmaster?
