I have a question and hope that someone can answer it. I have a winchester model 90 an 06 or 62 and I need to know what the firing sequence is because the one I'm working on is not firing right. What is the proper sequence of events from pulling the trigger to firing to chambering the next round 0 -
Possibly, but the odds are not in favor of it being factory nickel plated. 0 -
The owner of the gun claims it is original. Can't argue the point.
Looks in excellent condition. What is it worth?
Thanks!0 -

It is not worth a plug nickel unless the owner can positively verify it is original. Hearsay does not mean squat to me, or to any other serious Winchester collector.0 -
Mr. Hidebuyer:
While there were nickle plated 1890s, plating just the barrel would be improbable.
The Cody Firearms Museum has original configuration records for 1890 models from serial number 1 through 329,999 less about 10,270 various serial numbers within that range. Have the owner spring for the $$ to see if Cody has the information. IF the SN of your rifle of interest is outside of that range, then refer to Bert's last post about a faux plated nickle coin.0 -
I have one that the receiver was Nickled on. But not the barrel. 0 -

That is what is normally seen on a factory nickel-plated 1890 or 1906.0 -
I bought the gun,the receiver and the barrel are both nickel plated.....
Serial number 74,XXX.....Will check with CFM to see what I bought.
