    Welcome to the Gunbroker forums!

    The cartridge your rifle is chambered for is nearly a duplicate of the commercial American offering of the .280 Remington.

    As clear as your description is, it lacks the ability to really be able to judge the condition of the rifle in general as well as specifically. This requires photographs which are sharp and clearly lit. Look up towards the top of this forum at the list of Stickies for directions for posting the pictures. Overall pictures and details will give us the best opportunity to help with the assessment.

    That said, 7 X 64 isn't a common cartridge in the U.S. It's a European cartridge that is very similar but not interchangeable with the .280 Remington. This might be negative factor as far as it's value here in the U.S. is concerned.

    The Brenneke was Europes precursor to the 7mm Rem Mag (it is less powerful, and is more along the lines of the 280 Rem as mentioned)if you want to look at it that way. Great cartridge that has taken something of a downturn popularity wise since the intro of the Rem Mag and others. Will watch for pics to help determine value for you...
