Mossberg Bullpup Grip Safety Repair Cost?

The mossberg bullpup is very easy to open up by yourself. If I can do it, trust me, anyone can. I had this very same(Grip safety) problem.

There is an excellent diagram on numrich gun parts if you need it. Most likely what happened is that one of the 2 springs associated with the grip safety is missing or otherwise incapacited. Each of these is a $3 part.

Splitting the two halves of the shell is very easy and only involves the removal of several screws. If you do this carefully you can prevent parts from falling out. The one part you have to worry about, if I remember correctly, is the V-spring that puts tension on the hammer block safety (not the grip safety)located on the trigger guard.

I suggest you split the halves and manipulate the side that has the grip safety and its associated parts to see what needs to be done. There are only 4 pieces to this safety so it should not be difficult to pinpoint.

This is an easy fix from my experience.

EDIT: Please do not handle this weapon without the grip safety operational. The hammer block safety is very poor and I was able to fire the weapon even in the "safe" position.

Also, the grip safety has VERY sharp edges that will cut into your hand after prolonged firing. Round them off using a tool of your choice...dremel, sandpaper, whatever
