switching synthetic oil to regular....

Is there any downside to switching from synthetic oil to regular oil as long as I don't go over mileage ???

  Cheaper but not as good for ur motor

  There is no disadvantage...
  
  Neglect is the engine killer not changing syn to dino.

  ditto! I started using synthetic Mobil 1 when it first came out and have never looked back. Had a Chevette (remember them?) and put 300k miles on that baby with nothing but Mobil 1. Car rusted out around the motor. Never, never have had an engine problem with synthetic...pay more, but it is worth it IMHO. If I did go back, would faithfully change the oil per owners manual...syn gives you a little fudge factor.
