Colt SAA Artillery
i have a beautiful artillery that is 80-85% blue, barrel, cylinder backstrap and trigger guard and 20% case color on the frame. the grips have 100 percent fit and about 40% RAC cartouch. i am going from memory now frame 16,988, cylinder DFC 4820, backstrap 114???,
trigger guard 54???. the only flaw on the gun is the front sight. the back of the sight has been filed to remove the curve, flattened on top and narrowed. i missed the RAC barrel on GB last week but there is an Ainsworth on GB now that may match this gun, would it be worth a try or just let it go.
thanks

If it was not an original Artillery gun it will always be a parts gun. If you enjoy the gun purchase the barrel and enjoy the gun. 0 -
If it is a true Artillery Model as Colt refurbished it for the Cavalry, probably during the 1900-1903 time period based on the mixed parts, then leave it alone even though the front sight has been modified. 0
