astra
I have an astra cal 3.65 a25. It needs a left side grip and mag, but I am not sure which model or age of this gun. All the type on the slide is small, nothing like anything I have find on any web pages. It is my understanding that Colt was importing these guns, but there name is not located anywhere that I can see. If someone could let me know what information they might need in ID this pistol I would appreciate it greatly.

My father brought back this gun along with several other souvenirs (SS helmet and officer's hat, SS arm band and sword) from WW II. He died several years ago and I never got around to asking him about it so any info you might have would be usful.
Thanks

Type in Astra in the search area on Gunbroker and see what comes up. Most likely one of them will be like yours. 0 -

This is a link to the Triple K Company. They make repro magazines and grips for many different Astra models. Go to their site to see if you can determine if they have magazines and grips for your pistol.

Colt/Astras were marked "Colt Junior." The guns were made FOR Colt.
There were 2 Astra .25s.
One had an external hammer. It was called the "Cub."
The other model had a grip safety. It was called the "Firecat."0 -
You may have a astra model 1916. Colt had nothing to do with these; although they look similar to the firecat, there is no grip safety. The have the word HOPE in very small letters near the top of the grip. I don't think the magazines interchange with the other .25 caliber astras. I am not an expert, I just happen to have one. They are hard to find parts for. 0
