    A "regular" issue 2nd Generation Colt will generally bring more money due to the fact that their serial numbers remain sequential. Commemoratives have their own serial number series and rarely hold their value if they have been fired. Just have fun with it!

    be sure it's a real Colt and not an Italian copy made to be a so-called 'collectible'.If not,pay accordingly.

    If you want a good quality Colt to SHOOT then buy it if you want one that will gain in value RUN . I bought a Sam Colt commemorative many years ago .never cocked the hammer very nice looking pistol it has never had anything except Renaissance wax on it worth less now then 30 years ago.

    from the pictures it looks to be very nice, but sometimes pictures can be misleading. The owner says it looks like it is new, we will see. Thanks for all the info.
