What is the thread size of the flash suppressor? I measure 5/8" x 24 but it is not quite a perfect match. Thanks

The "standard" size for .30 caliber rifles is 5/8x24. While there is no standard for that it is the most common.

It might be a metric thread if your talking about the original AR 10's from the 60's, rather then the recently made ones.

They were made in Holland not the US.

Get a set of metric thread gauges to verify this. Don't force on a 5/8 x 24 internal thread hider or brake as you might make major problems for yourself if the mismatched threads gall.

Thanks. I have tried a 5/8x24 on it and that is the thread. Thanks again.

The early AR10 flash hiders are pinned on. The insides of the flash hiders are threaded for the blank attachments.
