Can anyone come up with DOM on 7 shot H & R Trapper .22 revolver, ser# 146668?

  The Trapper Model was serial numbered in the same series as the H&R Model 1906, from which it was derived and in production from circa 1924-41. With that serial number, I'd guess that your piece hails from the 1927-28 period - based upon a "HUNTER" 10" model (1926-29) in my collection, with a slightly lower number.

  I meant authoritative as a compliment, as information coming from a recognized expert. Authoritarian would not be quite so complimentary. Anyway, thanks again.
