H&K P8/USP hybrid value
I recently picked up what i thought was nothing more than an ordinary USP9, however, upon further inspection, the slide was marked P8. Since then I have done some extensive researching, and have learned that the barrel, slide, and recoil spring are AUTHENTIC P8 parts, and the frame is all USP parts, now for the strange part. All three, the slide barrel and frame, serial numbers MATCH. I contacted H&K and had several gunsmiths look at it to verify nothing on this pistol has been altered. So, if someone could speculate on the value of such a rare find, i would greatly appreciate it. Pictures are available upon request. Thanks for all the help. Below is the email i received from H&K.
This would make an excellent addition to any H&K collection, so with that said this pistol will be for sale very soon.
Your pistol is date coded KF indicating the year of manufacture being 1995.
That is about the same time the USP was going through some design changes and upgrades. It is also the same year that the P8 was first fielded to German military divisions. We do not know an exact number, but very few of them were imported through HK in Sterling, VA. Your pistol was first sold to Accusport Corp. in Bellfontaine, OH on September 3, 1996. It was listed in our computer system as a USP 9mm Variant 1, however, your markings are for a P8 and all serial #s match, so yours is a combination of the two platforms. We cannot speculate on what its value may be.

If you find the right collector, its probably worth 1/2 the value of a P8 x 1/2 the price of a USP ... so about $160,000
only catch is finding the right collector [:D]0 -
