item sold locally, do i still have to pay fees?
i listed a ruger 10/22 magnum and shortly after had one bid......this was my first for sale listing.....in the listing i stated that the item was also for sale locally.....with five days left in the auction, a local fellow purchased the rifle and i ended the bidding early with still only one bid....i contacted the bidder and explained the rifle was sold locally and he was fine with it.....there was nothing special about the auction, no thumbnail or extras....do i still have to pay the fees?

Yes, if it was a no-reserve auction or if the reserve had been met. Your fee will be based on the high bid when you ended the auction.

There is a FOR SELLERS tutorial on the auction site. YOU NEED TO READ IT COMPLETELY BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT TO SELL ANOTHER ITEM ON GB. You may not get off so lightly the next time.

You are still liable for all of the listing and sales fees. Your ending the auction with an active bidder constitutes an auction sale so far as Gun Broker is concerned and they will expect their money! 0 -

thanks to everyone else for your quick replies.....i don't mind paying, it's only like 11 dollars.....i just wanted to make sure before i sent payment since the gun didn't actually go to the bidder..... 0 -
Civility is the number one rule in this forum and name calling is not allowed. If you want to call people names then spend your time in the General Discussion forum. I get insulted weekly over there! 0
