One component of the Austrian Proof Marks is usually a date. It's in the form of a two digit number near the large "NP" marking.

Lay the rifle across your knees, bolt handle down. On the barrel, just behind the rear sight are two proof marks and a double-digit number. That number is the year. Those markings are repeated about 2" further back on the receiver ring. My '57 M-S is #22278 and my '65 is #49070. If I remember correctly, the Model GK was a post '61 remake of the '50/'52 style. There was also a Model MC which was a post '61 remake of the 1956 style.

As best I can tell from a little Googling (I am NOT a MS collector.) you have a Model 1952 GK. Apparently that version stayed in the catalog for 10-12 years. Sorry I cannot pin it down closer than that.
