1100 barrel question ...

I'm wanting to tacticoolize an old 1100 I picked up at a local show a couple weeks ago and really like the cantilever set up barrels, but they only seem to be for an11-87, so my question is ...

Will a 12ga 11-87 barrel fit an 1100 receiver?

  Remington says NO not interchangeable.

  You might want to consider buying a 1100 bbl with a VR and attaching a cantilever mount to the VR. Check out auction side #214664096. I have two and they work well. Good luck.
