I have a 336 44 mag marlin my dad gave me. he bought it new is the early 1960's it still looks like the day he got it.has a sattle ring and a straight stock.wouldlike some info maybe value thanks. Bob

  These are quite uncommon, they did not make many before going over to the 1894 action. That does not necessarily make it valuable, not in the present recession, at least.

  in today's economy value is definitely a issue.I would say sentiment does not equal market in value 4 me.it is a great old rifle with a personal history.I will pass it down to my son.maybe I can take a deer with it.it makes a great brush gun.thanks for your help
