Shotshells

I have a box of 22lr shotshells I got a few years back and I was wondering if its ok to shoot these out of a semi-auto pistol. I always shot them from a bolt rifle and avoided shooting them from a semi-auto rifle. Not for any reason, I just figured the action might have and adverse effect on the soft plastic shotshell cover on the ammo. Anyone have personal experience with these shells?? Am I ok shooting these out of a Walther P-22?

  MYGUN22,I don't believe they have enough power to operate a semi auto.
