Surplus 8mm Mauser headstamp I.D.

Picked up a box of mixed surplus 8mm Mauser ammo today, to use in my VZ-24. Looking to see if anyone here can help me figure out where it was made. The box is a 50/50 mix of:

BPD 953

X X 1949

None of it is steel-cased, but several are copper washed. Never saw that before on brass cases.

Anyone know?
