    Yup, not a .45, not a 7.65, but a 9mm FN/Browning P35 or High Power.

    This is what is know as a model 1935 or Browning High Powder. WW II vintage but I believe the holster is originally for a Luger.I suspect it is chambered in the 9MM cartridge. You really need to do some work to remove rust "WITH SOAKING the pistol after removing grips in Kroil wrapped in paper towel wet with Kroil and inside a zip lock bag for 24-72 hours."

    EDIT value as is $350.00 + or - sell the holster as what it is a Luger holster cleaned up with some Ballistol $150.00+ depending on what is written on inside of flap.Then clean pistol with Kroil and value of pistol $500.00 + as far as serial numbers most times they started over after they reached 99999
