Winchester 94 receiver question

I am wondering if the dimension of receivers from a Winchester model 1894, model 94 (pre-64), and model 94 (post 64) are the same.

  Actually - I guess it is more of a tang question but here goes...........
  I have a synthetic stock for a model 94 and I am wondering if it will fit them all (1894, 94 pre and post), or have there been changes made to the size and dimesion of the tangs and receivers.

  The shape of the upper tang and receiver was changed a few years after WW II (circa serial 1,500,000) and butt stocks will not readily interchange. So. in answer to your question, the sybthetic stock will not fit on a Model 1894 or a pre-war Model 94.
