FFL advise

Man and wife own a gun store. Both names are on the FFL. The man passes away. Is that still a valid FFL.

  You should call the ATF Licensing Center at 1-866-662-2750 to insure you file the proper amendment form.

  The surviving spouse retains the ability to operate the business for the duration of the period the current license remains valid, so long as there is no change of address. When the license expires then a new application Form 7 must be filed removing the name of the deceased. Up until the expiration date it can be business as usual with the old license, unless she wants the FFL in her name as soon as possible.
