model 70 classic sporter value

I have a model 70 winchester. Its a classic sporter according serial numbers it was made in 1957.Its in very good condition. It looks to be brand new. not single mark on barrel and only two very small ones on stock. I don't understate scratches either if anything I generaly over state them . Its chambered in 300 mag. Not looking for exact value jst close ball park. if anyone has good idea and could answer tonight or before tomorrow morning it would be great gunshows in town this weekend. If know of good web site to find info on value it wouldhelp too.

    I forgot to mention that the bolt is jeweled and stock has grip plate also. not sure how much these do for value but thought it would give better idea of the gun in question

    Actually, it's right here at Gunbroker! Check the closed auctions, sorted by 'highest number of bids first'. Find the prices of NIB guns.
    Subtract 10pct for the blems you mentioned, subtract another 15pct if you don't have the original box it came in with the original papers that would have come with the box, and the hang-tag. Best, Joe

    I could not find any exact rifles. Due to the economy, 'Classic Sporters' have been sold for as little as $250, to as high as $1150 on the Gunbroker closed auctions. No listing for pre-64 Winchesters in 98pct condition (which is what yours is).

    Looking at the rifle through your eyes, and giving you the benefit of the doubt, the 'haggle price' should be either side of between $650-$850.

    Others will chime in with their buying/selling valuation, as they may have recently witnessed the sale of the type of rifle in your querie. Best again, Joe
