Stainless Steel Jericho 941
Is there such a thing as a stainless steel Jericho 941? I have been asking around, and can get no definitive answer. I have seen around the internet people talking about it, but i am not sure if it is just chrome, or if it is actual stainless steel. Thanks

Some people are driven to get the exact answer of YES or NO. Not, a rendition, of maybe, or perhaps. After reviewing his posts, there has been no definative answer to date. I will solve that right now.
The Jericho 941 is the same series as the Baby Eagle, imported now by Magnum Research. Itself is a beefed up rendition of the CZ 75. The Jericho was NEVER made in stainless, but was available in brushed or hard chrome.
The original Jericho 941 pistols came in a case with the pistol and a 9mm barrel installed, and 2 9mm magazines, 2 41 AE magazines, and a 41 AE barrel. The 41 AE is a very potent chambering, when loaded to the potential that it was designed for.
Here is what the blue book had to say...not that they are an authority on anything...

Personally, I have never seen a stainless steel one, though I definitely have seen one that was chromed.
I believe that TSR is right that the so-called stainless guns actually have a brushed chrome finish, just like this listed one for sale:

They don't say it "can be ordered" with stainless steel slides, so if those were ever available, they aren't any more!
Lastly, for what its worth, supposedly Kahr Arms is going to be the new American importer of these pistols starting later in the year. Too bad, because I like the gun, but won't buy Kahr products.0 -
FWIW, If I am not mistaken, these are made by IMI, the same people who originated the Desert Eagle...I could be wrong, but that is what I have been lead to believe. That being said, the Desert Eagle was made in a "stainless" version too, breifly, where only the FRAME was stainless. I believe it is a real chore to polygonal rifle the bore of a block of ordnance grade stainless. IMI's polygonal rifling is different than what most call polygonal, by a long shot.

To respond to this, IMI is the manufacturer of the Jericho 941 pistol, which has been marketed in the USA under a variety of names depending on who was doing the importing and when: Jericho, Baby Eagle, Uzi Eagle, Baby Desert Eagle, and there was even a batch labelled "Mossad". American importers have included: Mossberg, Magnum Research, and KBI/Charles Daly.
The gun itself was commissioned by IMI, yes, but my understanding is that IMI had significant input from Tanfoglio in its design. Tanfoglio made the original gun frames as well as other parts with final assembly in Israel. I believe Tanfoglio still makes the frames, which are finished in Israel.
Since the original 1990 design, this gun has underwent several extensions, so now there is a polymer version, chrome, and compact versions. They also added a frame rail a few years ago.
As you know, the Jericho does use polygonal rifling, but I can't comment how it may be similar or different from the rifling in either the (true) Desert Eagle, or Glocks. Also, conventionally rifled Tanfoglio Witness barrels may drop in here, or be made to fit. I checked on this at one point, but can't remember.
On Kahr, I don't have a lot more to tell you. You already know my feelings about Kahr, so no need to get into that again here.
Supposedly Kahr had Jericho guns on display at the just-ended 2011 SHOT show, and starting later this year they will the importer.
If you look at the Magnum Research website, they don't list these guns for sale anymore, and there is a conspicuous "blank" there.

I appreciate all the input guys, thanks for the help. I'll apologize about the redundancies of reposting this, but i had people say they know they have made one, AND that they hadn't. I was hoping to find someone that OWNED a SS, but as nobody has surfaced, i am believing that it doesn't exist. Thanks again! 0
