H & R Model 929
I inherited an H & R model 929 from my late stepfather about 6 years ago and it has been sitting in my closet until this past weekend. I had an opportunity to shoot it and it fired fine. I shot about 50 rounds at some targets on my friends farm. I enjoyed shooting it and i wanted to learn more about it (like the production year). I don't know a lot about guns but would like to learn. here is what i know about this one. it is a .22 LR nine shot double action revolver with a blued finish. the serial # starts with an AY09.I was curious what it was worth. Can anyone give me any info?

'AY' indicates 1982. It's a 2nd Model (1973 - '86) with transfer bar ignition/safety system. Top current retail values for ANIB is around $195 - down to $75 for a piece in fair condition. This model was H&Rs first foray into swing-out cylinder revolvers with the intro of the 1st Model in 1957 - 1972. 0 -
