Sig P239 Magazines

I bought a Galco Miami Classic shoulder rig for my new Sig P239 9mm. The straps on the ammo carrier have two sets of snaps, presumably to accommodate magazines for more than one gun model. I was hoping that the second set was for factory 10 round extended magazines, but this is not the case as the plastic piece at the bottom is much to large to fit. I have heard that Sig makes another gun, perhaps the P229, that uses a 10 round single stack magazine that will also fit in the P239. Does anyone here know if this is true? If so I believe that it might fit in this ammo carrier.

    negative the p229 has a dual column mag. i have a 9mm 239 and am not aware of any other extended mags

    The 10 round magazines have exactly the same body as the 8 rounders. The only difference is the addition of the big fat plastic extension and presumably a longer spring. If I were to switch back to the original floor plate I would have an 8 rounder. Good idea though.

    You can put the ten tound extended mag in the gun, and then you will have two more 8 round mags in the carrier...that should be more than enough firepower unless you run into a nest of zombies!

    Try a P225/P6 mag.
