DWM Argentino .358 mauser 1909

Anyone know what this gun is worth? It is in great shape with a wood stock (not sure if it's walnut or not) and cheek rest. It comes with a Leupold Vari X III 1/5x5 scope.

    Need quality photos for accurate identification and valuation.

    That said, a sporterized, (rebarreled, restocked, drilled and tapped, etc.) Model 1909 Argentine army rifle, in .358 Winchester is not likely to be a big buck item.

    Unfortunately I can't post photos due to the fact that the gun is not in my possession. I am just investigating what it's worth for a friend in another state. Can you give me a rough guess?

    Custom and semi custom rifles are kinda iffy to put a value on. The 1909 Argentino was a great action for a custom rifle, especially if it still has it's hinged trigger guard with it. Custom rifles that were put up by a known rifle smiths of good repute are worth alot more the ones made by no name rifle smiths as this is a measure of the demonstratable quality of the workmanship. Provable quality components via receipts and markings will increase the value as well. If the rifle shoots very accurately and the seller can demonstrate this to a buyer then the value will also go up accordingly. Just because a rifle is pretty isn't a concern if it won't shoot accurately. So you need to provide a lot more info on the builder and components if you want a better estimate on the value. Otherwise MikeWhiskey has it nailed.....

    Any time you modify a factor gun albeit sporting rifle or military rifle Value will be decided from the quality of the work done . Sort of like a Custom Car . if you look at Barrett Jackson Car auctions you will see custom Muscle cars bring hundreds of thousands of dollars . but look on Ebay or auto trader and you will see custom cars that are hard to almost give away. same with custom guns . Mike Wiskey has the correct reply with out pictures there is no valid way for us to give you a Value.
