Browning Sweet 16's really that high?

Recently a round knob SS went for $5225 supposedly 99% with a factory box with the wrong ser#. Amazing

    They are becoming hard to get. Sweet 16's everywhere are getting premium prices.

    That's something that allways amazed me about the Sweet 16. It seems that it's the only 16 gauge that will readily sell to U.S. buyers, for some reason? Had all kinds of really descent 16 gauges over the years, you couldn't give them away. To the best of my knowledge the big domestic manufacturers don't even try to sell them Stateside, but if they make them at all it's for overseas sale.

    After seeing the price's of the browning sweet 16 i wish after my GrandFather passed being the oldest grandson I would have chosen that gun rather than the 30/30 golden-spike I picked----, but the golden- spike is a pretty gun

    Had a customer in the shop today, said he has a Sweet 16 vent rib unfired in the box for 3000.00. I told him to bring it in so I could look at it.

    Think I paid around $400 for mine like 20 years ago. They aren't going down in price. Browning name and Belgum made add up to $$$$. Like anything with Colt or Winchester on it.
