What is a good bolt action rifle? I like the Browning and the SAKO a lot. What do you think? I was going to use it for small game and target shooting. Thanks

  You might be better off buying a complete rifle and salvaging the action. Generally speaking, you get what you pay for in the Mauser action market. There are lots of buyers looking for a bargain and lots of sellers looking for a sucker. You didn't specify an intention but I'll say that building a rifle will cost much more than buying a commercial or secondhand "custom" rifle and there are plenty of those.
