30 rd. USGI MAGS. ??

I have noticed these on the auction side. Did our military ever officially contract 30rd mags ??

  As stated no 30's.
  
  CMI is the current contractor for 20rd mags. I don't think there is a contract for 25rd mags but CMI makes those too. The quality on both mags is good.

  Twenty round magazines were standard and there were no thirty round magazines produced for the M14. The alternate capacity magazine for the M14 was a ten shot magazine which was intended for guard duty and other assignments where the full sized magazine would be considered impractical. These ten round magazines are not at all common and even those who were issued the M14 back in the 1960s were not likely to have even seen one.
