I'll take it that your monarch is an older generation, for that the best way to find the right size is to take the scope into a store that has a good selection and try in each size till you find the one that fits. That is the only way I have ever been able to help with a sizing issue on the butler creek's, hopefully you live near a good store.

Go to a good gun shop in your area that has a good selection of these things and ask. If not, call a good mail order supplier, such a Brownells (my first choice) and ask for a tech advisor to help you and order from there. Any of these outfits, whether local or mail order should take it back if it doesn't fit.

Measure your scope with a dial caliper . write down these measurements ( noting which is for the eye piece and which is for the objective lens ) The size of the cap is printed on the front of the package . They aren't sized exact there is a range 1.620-1.640 . If your measurement is between these two measurements you have a fit . I often will put a layer or two of electrical tape underneath to make a tighter fit , and if it's already too tight just warm it up with a hair dryer and slide it on . If you order from a catalog they will be listed by size .
