just purchased. cant seem to find much about one stamped deer slayer 201 ranger.i understand this is one dependable gun! the wood is darker than others ive seen,better grain. two scratches on the off side of the reciever fires great and is tight. im seeing prices around 300.00. is this right?any info would be much appreciated.

  The Winchester model 120 pump shotgun was the low end of the Winchester product line, excluding the single shot shotgun. Maple or birch hardwood stock instead of walnut. Good dependable low cost general purpose utility gun. The next level up was the Winchester 1200 pump, which eventually evolved into the Winchester 1300 pump.
  I did a quick search on what 3 recent 120 pumps actually sold for. Much less than $300. People may list them for that, but in this economy, forget it, they get no bids. Your gun would bring a slight premium with the slug barrel, but not much. Check out what these ones sold for recently for a better idea of what they bring.
