AR 10's, and 15's
I'm not an expert on the AR platform, but need to know if an AR-10 .308, will fit an AR-15 lower. If so, does it make any diff. if the Manufactures are different. If no, what other calibers are available besides the .223, and .204 that will fit the AR-15 lower? What is a good source of uppers, at dealer cost? THX Hawkshaw

I don't think any AR 15 lowers will take a AR10 upper, I know it can't be done with an Armalite. 0 -

The AR platforms are determined primarily by the magazine well length. The 5.56 NATO length for the AR-15, and the 7.62 NATO for the AR-10. There are upper recievers made for the AR-15 from 22LR up to ) Beauwolf, and single shot 50 BMG's. The AR-10's I have seen from 243 thru 300WSM. Look at the DPMS, Rock River Arms, and Armalite sites. Here is another for a good WSSM series on the AR-15 platform.

The 300 WSSM, or 30 OSSM will give you hot 30-06 performance with up to 150 grain bullets.
