Remington 1100 Gas assembly ?

Looks like the old style gas rings, looks worn too, new style work much better. When the ring end gaps are lined up like that, it'll turn it into a single shot too, set them 180 off from each other.
Sometimes you "think" you have the ports clean, take a Hoppes soaked pipe cleaner and scrub them. If they have become carboned up, not enough gas gets through them to cycle the bolt. Had a couple I had to use a gas welder tip cleaner to break the carbon loose.

Thanks for the reply, Trap. I have already used the torch tip cleaner on the gas port. The piece that looks like it is aligned is actually one piece, with the split running through it. Maybe my best bet is to replace the seal assembly. I think I've done everything else. I would think that a poor seal would still cycle it a little bit, though. This thing doesn't move a fraction of an inch.

That looks like one for an 11-87, I doubt it will work in a 1100.

What year is it? Remington started using the same seal kit in the 1100 and 11-87.
I just dug out a set I replaced, with a kit I got for free. All I needed was the rubber seal, but I replaced the whole thing. Rings are like new. My son laid claim to the shotgun, sometimes he even lets me use it.[:(!]
Email me an address, and I'll send em to you.

The code on the barrel is KI, which looks to be either 1976 or 1988. I'm pretty sure the barrel hasn't been changed. I appreciate your offfer, and have sent you an e-mail with my address. Thanks!
