Customer has a "J.P.SAUER & SOHN" 12 ga sxs. Single trigger. Barrel selector is in the trigger guard. Cocking indicator on each side of the reciever. Made in Germany. Nitro proved barrel. Serial number 71053. When was this gun made?? Item number 158339559.Thanks for your help.

I'd say that your model 19 is 1978-1979. The model 36 is 1959-1961. And your model 29 isn't the serial number, look on the bottom of the grip frame for that number. I looked in my Smith and Wesson book, but I'm not sure if I know what I'm doing. I can't help with the Remington.

The 29-3 was made from 81-87. Yours would be @ 1985. If you call S&W they will tell you when it was shipped.
