Ruger GP100

I recently bid on and won a Ruger GP 100 with a 6 inch barrel for a friend, it has a roll mark on the cylinder. What causes this ? Can I correct it myself or do I need to take it to a Gunsmith ? Will this be expensive ?

  Can anyone give me info on the Ruger GP100? Where it's made? Any known issues? opinions etc?

  get ahold of ruger and talk to a tech they helped me with a Mark II

  Don't thank this ejector rod screws in.

  Hello, Movement of about 1/8" is normal in this design. I think it has to do with the front locking wedge.

  SP101 is same way. I don't think anything is broke, just the way they are made.
