Capsule Reload ?

I ordered speer shot capsules for .38 but they came with no load instructions on the box. Can anyone tell me what the instructions on their box says? Got em from midway new...guess this box got missed in the label process.[V]

  Cliff's notes version- finer the shot, the better- around #9, over 5.5 grains of Unique. Reducing charge by 5% may improve pattern

  If you load them too hot, they will blow the end off the ones in the adjacent chambers. I have loaded them with everything from #12 shot to #4 buck. Keep the powder charges within reason.

  I use 5.3g of Unique in mine. I load a 50/50 mix of #9 & #12 shot. The two Rattlers that were to close didn't seem to appreciate it at all.[;)]. Be careful of your roll crimp to much and it will crush the capsule.

  Another tip: Fill the blue capsule with shot, then stick a tiny wad of styrofoam in the back before attaching the white cap. This will hold the shot in place and the rounds won't rattle.

  Fill the cap with choice of shot, then pour in some melted beeswax for more range. Piano wire cut to fit in the cap make a mean flechette round too!
