Ubert Cattleman 7.5 .45
Local store has an Uberti .45 Colt 1873 NIB with 7.5" barrel for $449 plus tax. While it seems a tad steep, looking at closed auctions the average is $380-$400. If we consider shipping and transfer, I'm right back where I'd be with the store purchase. What say you?

For that kind of money I would spring for a used Blackhawk. The adjustable sights are a must have if you reload. The only thing the Uberti has going for it is that cosmetically it might look a little better, and old timey then the Ruger. But you would be way ahead IMHO getting the Ruger. 0 -
I agree with your comment regarding the price being about the same when you consider shipping (you have to pay transfer in any case).
The difference to you is that if you buy it at the store you can inspect the gun very closely, which is a big plus and you might be able to dicker with the store on the price a bit. Ask them to pick up the sales tax or to give you a 10% discount and see what they will do. If they say no, don't buy the gun right away. It's not like it is the only one.0 -

Thanks for the link; but I'm not looking for one with that short of a barrel or in .44 mag. Nice looking gun though, I'll say that.0 -
Recently I picked up a Stoeger made by Uberti engraved in .45LC that was priced at $750 used. I got the store to drop a "C" note (actually the sales person did) but after tax and fees it was $750 [:D].
See if the place will sell to you at $450 and they pick up sales tax and fees.0
