winchester 37 gold trigger
just ran accross this 12 ga. from a neighbor. about 85% the trigger edges are worn, gold is very evident. dont see one on the auction to help me decide a fair value. any help much appreciated charlie

I have seen a gang of Winchester 37 shotguns, and never one with a gold trigger. Are you sure it's a 37, not a 37A or 370?
What auction did you search? I searched www.gunbroker.com and found a good number of 37 and 37A shotguns. The 37As seem to have gold triggers as you indicate.
The 37 was a cheapie, but well made by Winchester in the USA. These guns have considerable collector interest, particularly in the smaller gauges and when in nice shape.
The 37A was a super-cheapie, made in Canada by another company for Winchester. IMNSHO, the 37A has shooter value only.
Go back and look at the auctions again. You will undoubtedly find something close to the gun you are considering. If you don't, then try to post pictures of your gun here and someone will try to evaluate it.0 -
