Side Break Revolver
I was watching one of the Gunsmoke movies (Return To Dodge) last night, and when one of the characters began to load his revolver, he turned the barrel to one side (much like a top break revolver except the barrel turned to the side instead of down). This was the first time I had ever seen a gun like this. Any info anyone can give me on this gun will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance to any and all who reply.

I probably have seen the movie but I don't remember it. Anyway, two possibilities come to mind. One would be the Murwin & Hulbert and the other is the Moore 7-shooter. Maybe these photos will help.
Johnny
Murwin & Hulbert
Moore

I can't tell a lot about the Moore from the pic, but I beleive that might be it. In the movie, the cylinder detached from the barrel, and the barrel swung around to the right leaving the cylinder exposed. 0 -
That is so Gangsta [:D]. 0 -
I went back and watched the first of the movie again. It is the Murwin & Hulbert. Isn't it strange how you can see something and be so wrong? 0
