    omansb,

Sizing dies are smaller in order to make the case slightly smaller for feeding and chamber fit. It should not affect headspace if you set the die up correctly without pushing the shoulder back.

Custom dies can be made by Redding, CH4D, RCBS and Forster. They will need a chamber print or several dummy cartridges sent for them to use in cutting the die.

    Best.

I suppose I should have stated more details to more accurately answer my question. If I use these cartridges in the same rifle and only neck size them can't the chamber and sizing die be reamed to the same size?

Thanks for your reply 243winxb. I think if I go with custom dies I will get the redding version, but I will still look into your link. Thanks again.

No. Because you eventually must full-length size no matter what, and for a semi-auto, you really do have to FL size every time. A size die has to be cut smaller than the chamber because brass "springs back" and sized cases would be larger than the chamber if die and chamber are identical.

Search Huntington Die Specialties http://huntingtons.com/ and you might find that dies are available already.

Thanks for the helpful answers guys. I appreciate it. I think I'll go with some custom Redding dies.....they require 3 fired cases, so that will of course follow the rifle work. Thanks again to all.
